Salon Lease Agreement Template FAQ

What is a salon lease agreement?

A salon lease agreement is a contract where a landlord leases a salon space (or a commercial space intended to operate as a salon) to a tenant business. It documents the rent, lease term, permitted services, maintenance responsibilities, and rules for using the premises.

When should you use a salon lease agreement?

Use this agreement when a business is leasing a space to operate a salon, barbershop, spa, nail studio, or similar service business. It is especially important when the tenant will install equipment, signage, or make improvements.

What should be included in a salon lease?

Common terms include: premises description, lease term, rent and due dates, security deposit, permitted use, utilities and services, repairs and maintenance, alterations and build-out rules, insurance requirements, default and remedies, and renewal or termination terms.

How is a salon lease different from chair or booth rental?

A salon lease typically covers an entire suite or storefront and works like a commercial lease between a landlord and a business tenant. Chair or booth rental is usually a smaller “within-the-salon” rental between a salon owner and an independent professional.

Who is responsible for repairs and maintenance?

That depends on the agreement. Many salon leases make the tenant responsible for routine maintenance and interior repairs, while the landlord handles structural items. This template lets you clearly assign responsibilities to avoid disputes.

Can AI Lawyer help me customize this Salon Lease Agreement?

Yes. AI Lawyer can help you customize this agreement by filling in the parties, premises details, term, rent schedule, deposit, permitted use, repair responsibilities, build-out rules, insurance requirements, default terms, and renewal options — so you can download and print a clean, ready-to-use version in minutes.
