NAIL SALON BILL OF SALE TEMPLATE FAQ
What is a Nail Salon Bill of Sale?
A Nail Salon Bill of Sale is a written document that records the sale and transfer of a nail salon’s business assets — such as equipment, furniture, inventory, and the salon trade name — from a seller to a buyer. It confirms what was sold, the purchase price, and the effective date of transfer.
Is this the same as selling the whole business or just the assets?
This template is written primarily as an asset sale document. It records the transfer of the nail salon’s business assets, and can also reference transfer of the salon trade name and customer goodwill. If the parties are selling the entire business entity (such as shares or membership interests), they would usually use a share/interest transfer agreement instead, sometimes together with a bill of sale for assets.
What should a Nail Salon Bill of Sale include?
A clear Nail Salon Bill of Sale should identify the parties, describe the salon and location, list the assets being sold (chairs, tables, tools, inventory, décor, POS equipment, etc.), state the purchase price and payment received, set the transfer date, address “as-is” or limited warranties, and clarify who is responsible for taxes and fees.
Does this document transfer the salon lease too?
Not by itself. A commercial property lease usually requires landlord consent and separate assignment paperwork. This template allows you to reference an existing lease or lease assignment if the landlord approves, but you should use the proper lease or lease-assigning documents required by the landlord and local law.
Do I need to notarize a Nail Salon Bill of Sale?
Notarization is not always required, but it can provide additional proof that the parties signed the document, which can be useful for lenders, landlords, or tax authorities. This template includes optional witness and notary blocks that you can use if notarization or witnessing is requested.
Can AI Lawyer help me customize this Nail Salon Bill of Sale?
Yes. AI Lawyer can help you adapt this Nail Salon Bill of Sale template with your salon details, asset list, purchase price, payment terms, and governing law so you have a clean, professional document ready for review and signature.
