TUTORING TERMS AND CONDITIONS TEMPLATE FAQ
What are tutoring terms and conditions?
Tutoring terms and conditions are the written rules that explain how tutoring services will be provided. They usually cover the tutor’s services, lesson schedule, payment terms, cancellation policy, responsibilities of each party, and other important expectations. A clear set of terms helps both the tutor and the student understand how the tutoring arrangement will work from the start.
Why do you need tutoring terms and conditions?
You need tutoring terms and conditions to reduce misunderstandings and create a clear written record of the arrangement. They help explain what services are included, when payments are due, how rescheduling works, and what happens if either party cancels or ends the relationship. This makes the tutoring arrangement more professional and easier to manage.
When should you use tutoring terms and conditions?
Use tutoring terms and conditions before tutoring begins, whether the sessions are in person, online, or in a hybrid format. They are useful for one-time tutoring, recurring lessons, test preparation, homework support, language tutoring, and subject-specific instruction. They are especially helpful when regular scheduling, payment obligations, and cancellation rules need to be documented clearly.
How to write tutoring terms and conditions?
Start by identifying the tutor and the student or client, then describe the tutoring services being provided. Add the session format, length, fees, payment schedule, cancellation terms, and responsibilities for attendance and preparation. You should also include rules for online sessions if applicable, a statement that no specific academic result is guaranteed, and signature lines to confirm agreement.
