This Tutoring Terms and Conditions Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into on [Date], by and between:

The parties agree as follows:

1. Tutoring Services

The Tutor agrees to provide tutoring services in the following subject(s) or area(s): [Subject(s)].

The tutoring services may include: [Homework help / test preparation / study skills / language instruction / subject-specific tutoring / other].

2. Session Format and Schedule

Tutoring sessions will be provided as follows:

• Format: [In-person / Online / Hybrid]

Any scheduling changes should be communicated as early as reasonably possible.

5. Student and Parent Responsibilities

• provide accurate information about academic needs and goals;

• complete agreed assignments or preparation work where applicable;

• maintain respectful behavior during sessions;

• ensure the student has the necessary books, materials, and working technology for online sessions.

6. Tutor Responsibilities

The Tutor agrees to:

• provide tutoring services in a professional and timely manner;

• prepare for sessions as reasonably needed;

• communicate clearly regarding scheduling and expectations;

• use reasonable efforts to support the Student’s learning and progress.

The Tutor does not guarantee any specific grade, score, admission result, or academic outcome.

7. Educational Materials

The Tutor may provide worksheets, study guides, notes, exercises, or other educational materials for the Student’s use.

Unless otherwise stated, materials created by the Tutor remain the Tutor’s property and may not be copied, sold, or distributed for commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Online Tutoring Terms

If sessions are held online, the Student or Client is responsible for having a working device, internet connection, and access to the agreed platform.

The Tutor is not responsible for interruptions caused by technical problems outside the Tutor’s reasonable control. The parties may reschedule an affected session if appropriate.

9. Conduct and Learning Environment

Both parties agree to maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.

The Tutor may end a session early or terminate this Agreement if the Student or Client engages in repeated disruptive, abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior.

10. No Guarantee of Results

The Student or Client understands that tutoring is intended to support learning, but results depend on many factors, including attendance, effort, prior knowledge, study habits, and outside circumstances.

The Tutor does not promise or guarantee any particular academic improvement or outcome.

11. Confidentiality

The Tutor will use reasonable care to keep personal and academic information shared during the tutoring relationship confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to communicate with a parent or guardian of a minor student.

12. Term and Termination

This Agreement begins on [Start Date] and continues until [End Date / completion of services / terminated under this Agreement].

Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving [Number] days’ written notice.

The Tutor may terminate this Agreement immediately for nonpayment, repeated missed sessions, misconduct, or another material breach of these terms.

Any unpaid fees earned before termination will remain due and payable.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Tutor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the tutoring relationship.

The Tutor’s total liability, if any, will be limited to the amount actually paid for the tutoring services directly related to the claim.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement will be governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Entire Agreement

This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties regarding the tutoring services and supersedes prior oral or written discussions on the same subject.
