Real Estate Photography Contract Template FAQ
What is a real estate photography contract?
A real estate photography contract is a written agreement between a photographer and a client for photographing a property. It explains what services will be provided, when the shoot will take place, how much the client will pay, what images or media will be delivered, and how the final content may be used. A clear contract helps both parties understand the scope of the project before the work begins.
Why do you need a real estate photography contract?
You need a real estate photography contract to clearly document the services, fees, deadlines, and usage rights connected to the property shoot. It helps reduce misunderstandings about the number of photos, editing, turnaround time, cancellations, travel charges, and who may use the images. A written agreement also creates a clear reference point if questions come up before or after delivery.
When should you use a real estate photography contract?
Use a real estate photography contract before a photographer reserves a shoot date or begins any work for a property listing or marketing project. It is useful for residential listings, commercial properties, rental units, vacation properties, staging shoots, drone photography, video walkthroughs, and agent branding content. It is especially helpful when fast delivery, licensing terms, and scheduling are important.
How to write a real estate photography contract?
Start by identifying the photographer and the client, then describe the property and the services being purchased. Add the shoot date, location, payment terms, cancellation rules, deliverables, editing terms, and turnaround time. You should also include property access, preparation responsibilities, usage rights, limitation of liability, and signature lines so the agreement is complete and practical to use.
